Clipo - Interactive TV application - 1

Clipo is an application designed for Interactive TV which allows it's viewers to record short clips, annotate them with expressions and video and then share with other viewers across network. Television by it's nature is a lean back interactive medium. Any attempt to bring computer like features, though functional will not succeed. Hence with this project I have tried to improve the media experience of TV by subtle introduction of interactivity. This project is an attempt to explore and identify applications/features which are futuristic in technology and use and also cater to the medium richness of TV.

Lack of appropriate services and interface makes home computer difficult to use and inaccessible. Studies of consumer devices which work well in the household suggest some strategic changes to the approach of bringing a computer into the home setting. This project is about introducing most affordable and relevant services in Indian household that are driven by user needs and aesthetics. The “Vision” project is an attempt to bridge gap between real life computational needs of an Indian household and power of cheap and accessible computing devices that blends into the existing social fabric by means of TV Set Top Box. The project was a part of my final project thesis done with Microsoft India R&D.

Game Design - Mahawar

MahaWar is the result of efforts put in by me and Suri in a 15 day Game Design module guided by Prof. Athvankar. MahaWar is a strategy based game with an ethnic look of board, war pieces and dice. It's unique 8 faced dice and dynamic map made the game interesting. The gameness of MahaWar is the fact that at any point of time all the player has equal chance of winning. The game has been patented and taken by Funskool Ltd. to be launched in the market very soon.

Illumiletter - Interactive insallation

Human senses are the main medium of interaction with the surrounding world. Multimedia development indicates that people crave any experience that resembles their real world. In this project, we tried to map human senses onto media. We designed working interactive installations called "Illumiletter" which uses human sight, sound and touch mapped onto a large projected screen in form of different coloured letters, animating and making different sound.

Blazon - project compilation tool

Blazon is a quick presentation authoring application designed and developed for rapid presentation building specifically for the employees of IDEA Ltd. The design was a result of studying the work flow of employees and trying to minimalize time and effort in building presentations as a portfolio for the clients of the company. Blazon is a set of portfolio presentation authoring application and presentation tool. It's modular architecture makes it possible to apply different themes of colors and navigations with minimal changes.
